Wheat Bread

Ilene S. taught a wonder activity on Wheat and various ways to use our wheat storage.  She gave us a bunch of recipes that night.

Bread

4 cups warm water
2 Tbs Salt
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
2 Tbs yeas in 1/2 cup warm water
10-12 cups flour

Put water, salt, oil, and honey into a bowl and mix.  Add 6 cups flour.  Beat till smooth.
Add yeast/water mixture and slowly add 4 cups flour.  Add more flour as needed to make a smooth, soft dough.

Put into container.  If container does not have a tight lid, grease top of dough and cover with cloth.  Let rise till double.  Punch down and divide into 3-4 loaves.  Shape loves and place in greased (not oiled) pans.  Cover with cloth and let rise until dough is an inch above the edge of pan.  Bake at 375 for 10 minutes; continue to bake at 350 for 25 minutes more.
